The soak-and-tie ritual takes all of thirty seconds, and I loved that I could snap a summit selfie without my girl panting like crazy right after. The damp fabric stayed in place even when she shook herself mid-hike, which honestly surprised me.

My pup’s neck stayed noticeably cooler for at least an hour after I gave it a quick soak at the trailhead, and the fabric dried fast without dripping all over the car. Tying it was easy even with a wiggly dog, and the summit photo turned out adorable.

I soaked it in a creek before our summit push, and the cooling effect honestly lasted the whole way down. The tie stays snug even when she’s scrambling over rocks, so it didn’t shift once during the hike.
