Soaked it in the creek right before the final push to the summit, and Scout was noticeably less droopy by the time we stopped for photos. The fabric dried out fast on the descent, but it did its job when it mattered.

We hit the trailhead late and forgot to pre-soak it, but a quick splash from the water bottle did the trick. The wet fabric felt cool against my hand, and she was noticeably less panty on the way down. It's a simple idea that just works.

Soaked it in the creek before our summit push and it stayed damp and cool for a good couple of miles—the fabric held the water way better than I expected. It's become a permanent part of our trail kit now, and my pup seems genuinely less panty on the way down.
