Three and a half ounces is nothing in my hand, which is exactly what I wanted for long trail runs with my border collie. The tightly woven rope has held up fine so far, no fraying after a couple months of daily use.
The 6 ft length gives my dog just enough room to sniff around without tangling, and at 3.75 oz I barely notice it clipped to my belt. The tightly woven rope feels way tougher than the weight suggests.
