The mesh flip-up stay is such a clever touch—it keeps the hat looking sharp but gives you instant airflow when the sun gets brutal. I’ve worn it on three long hikes and the lightweight Hi Pro crown barely feels like it’s there.
I wasn’t sure about the flat bill at first, but it’s surprisingly comfortable and the UPF 50+ kept my scalp from burning on a long afternoon round. The Hi Pro crown gives it a classic look that dresses up a plain t-shirt, and the lightweight feel means I forget I’m wearing it.
The mesh flip-up stay is the reason I keep reaching for this hat—it snaps back flat when I need shade but tucks up neatly when the breeze hits. The crown sits high enough to feel classic without looking boxy, and the UPF 50+ held up through a long, sunny afternoon.
