Recommended Use

We recommend that initially your dog carries no more than 10% of their body weight, including the contents of the backpack and the pack itself. If your dog is new to backpacks, we suggest starting with a lighter load and adding weight over time. Canned veggies make for a great trial run around your neighborhood!

Olivia ★★★★★

Bought this for light overnight trips and my husky hauled her own food and bowl the whole way without any rubbing under the front legs. The saddlebags sit balanced enough that she stopped trying to shrug it off after the first mile.

Our golden retriever carries his own water and treats now, and the fit is surprisingly adjustable around his chest without slipping. The padded straps sit comfortable even on a three-mile rocky trail, so he’s got no excuse not to pack his own snacks.

Took this out for a first hike last weekend and the saddlebag design stayed put even when she scrambled over rocks. The side pockets held her water bowl and a few treats snugly, and she didn't seem bothered by the weight at all. Definitely making this a regular part of our trail routine.
