My dog dragged me through a muddy creek trail and this collar came out looking brand new after a quick rinse. The material stays soft in my hand instead of getting stiff and crusty like my last one. No lingering wet-dog smell either, which I appreciate more than I expected.
My dog jumped straight into the lake and the collar was dry within minutes, no lingering wet-dog smell. The material still feels soft enough that it doesn't rub his neck raw on long hikes. Rinsing the mud off in the sink took about ten seconds.
