The locking carabiner actually stays put when my dog lunges, which my old leash never did. After a swim at the lake it barely held any water, just shook it off and clipped it back on. The d-ring on the handle is a small touch I didn't know I needed.

Took this on a muddy river trail and the leash came out of it looking brand new — the waterproof coating really does shrug off muck and water. The d-ring on the handle is handy for clipping my keys, and it's held up great so far.

The locking carabiner is the detail I didn't know I needed until my dog lunged at a squirrel and it held solid. Rinsed the mud off in the sink and it dried in minutes. The d-ring on the handle is handy for clipping my keys too.
